I don't know if this is happening to you but lately (as a matter of fact, the last couple of months) it seems that life is happening in rapid ways all around me and is pulling me by the hair to follow along. No matter what I do I am just not able to catch up. I'm always running behind. the 24 hour span of time is simply not enough! For an OCD and control freak this is fatal to my mental well being and self confidence. No matter what I do I can't catch up. I keep wondering what I am doing wrong and I'm not on top of things anymore. Of course I have a planner and write things down, things that need to be done and stuff, but organising and planning is not working anymore! All of sudden I've lost "IT" !
So, excuse my rant, disregard it if you will , but be sure I'll get back on top of things. I haven't reached 42 in my life without giving my fights. I'm a fighter (and a lover! hahahaha!)
Thanks for reading!!!

same here...too many things left undone, too little time, everything's too fast for me...
ReplyDeleteYeah! That's it\; 'everything is too fast'!!!!
DeleteKnow the feeling, 24 hours is definitely not enough.
ReplyDeleteGood to know I'm not the only one!
ReplyDeleteOh, I am SO with you on this. I feel like I run around like a chicken with my head cut off but get nothing accomplished! Everyone asks "What have you been up to" and I have NO answer because I have no idea. But, I'm exhausted, disheveled and graying... Sigh...
ReplyDeleteOh well - You can keep calm and make Spanakopita. And, I will be jealous. Because I can't get a good Spanakopita anywhere here....

Spanakopita!!! Thanks for mentioning it! One of my favorite pies and I haven't posted the recipe for it! I must get on it! Then you'll be able to make your own!
ReplyDeleteIt really does seem like the older we get, the less hours we have in a day. Each morning I make a list of things I need to get done that day, but if don't complete the list, I go into a panic because then the next day's list will be even LONGER and I fret that I will never catch up. I have noticed, however, how much time is lost when I'm in front of my computer--and that's a hard habit to break!
ReplyDeleteFeel free to rant...your blog, your rules. I hope things get better for you tho. You are not alone.

I've had the exact same feelings for about a year now. The days just seem to go faster. I'm 42 too though, so maybe it is an age thing? Maybe I'm taking on too much stuff and don't realize it? Maybe I just need sleep these days (something I could get by with little of in the past). Whatever it is, I'm totally relating with you on this one.
ReplyDeleteI feel the same all the time. With a 3 month old and a high maintenance husband, I feel like I can never catch a break. I suppose it is all in good time though. On to another day with all that much more to catch up on.
