New York avenues filled with ads about  Greece ...

inviting everybody to visit Greece!

      I came across this really moving  and hopeful post at http://www.jenny.gr/ and further researching it I found out about http://www.upgreektourism.gr/. 

     Upgreektourism  is  a private initiative aiming to promote Greece as a touristic destination. The project was managed by Greeks around the world on a voluntary basis with no budget or hired professionals. The campaign was promoted mainly via social media networks, such as Facebook and Twitter.

The advertising campaign started on March 23rd and will last for 30 days!

    An admirable and praiseworthy effort to promote Greek tourism (especially now with our economic crisis). Greece attracts close to 15 million tourists a year, almost 4 million more than its total population. Tourism accounts for almost 18 percent of Greece’s GDP and employs about a fifth of the country's 4 million workforce.
